Le Plat du Jour brings together in one place the daily specials of restaurants, food trucks and market stalls all over Switzerland. In a few seconds you see what you can eat today near you, at what price, and whether it is still open.
For Gastronauts
The site is free and can be used without signing up. Search by place, postcode, near you or by dish; filter by food preferences, allergens to avoid, budget or opening time. The mascot can guide you too: just tell it what you fancy.
A free Gastronaut account lets you keep your favourite restaurants, be told when they publish, keep a memo about a restaurant, save your food preferences and hear about new restaurants opening near you. An annual subscription removes the ads.
For restaurant owners
Publishing the daily special takes less than a minute from a phone. Restaurant owners stay in control of their information: dishes, menus, prices, allergens, opening hours, tour, temporary closures and how to be contacted. A “Getting started” guide helps them sign up, and they can invite their team to publish on their behalf.
Each venue has a short address to share, for example leplatdujour.ch/la-roulotte-gourmande, and a QR code that always leads to its daily special.
